Kreber and Stamicarbon cooperated on a new generation innovative prilling machine, facilitating large-scale production with an efficient approach to prilling, suitable for urea and other fertilizer grades.

Stamicarbon has been identified as the “Key Innovator” in the PROMETEO project by the EU Innovation Radar. The innovation under analysis is “A fully-integrated design of a Solid Oxide Electrolyzer for best matching with Intermittent Renewable Heat & Power sources.”

Team S.T.E.P was named the winner of the 2022 Ideas-to-Reality Competition, winning both the honor and EUR 5,000 to turn their idea into a reality. The Ideas to Reality project has undoubtedly made its mark and further affirmed Stamicarbon’s commitment and dedication towards sustainability and innovation.

Six candidates were shortlisted, with Ricco Fiorito (Cooloo) announced as the winner yesterday at the Brightlands Smart Services Campus in Heerlen. Cooloo, a circular developer, has a mission to internationally connect producers, waste materials, designers, products, and markets to close the circle towards a circular economy.

Stamicarbon delivered two high-pressure carbamate condensers and one high-pressure stripper for Weihua Group’s urea plant in Weinan, Shaanxi province in China in October 2020, marking the introduction of Stamicarbon equipment for the non-Stamicarbon CO₂ stripping process. With the application of Safurex^®, the existing equipment design of the original licensor was optimized to achieve maximum corrosion resistance and a long lifetime of the high-pressure vessels.

A brand new high-pressure stripper made from Safurex^® has reached Stamicarbon’s client China Blue Chemicals to replace their existing equipment, which has reached its end of life. The 2700 mtpd urea plant in Dongfang, Hainan, is based on Stamicarbon’s Pool Condenser Design, part of the LAUNCH MELT™ series, and has been in operation since 2003.

Stamicarbon has acquired the status of Microsoft Gold Partner in Application Development and Application Integration, along with the Silver Partner status in Data Analytics. These achievements highlight Stamicarbon’s knowledge and capabilities in developing high-quality digital technologies using Microsoft and integrating those technologies with other software products.

NX Stami™ Digital steps forward in Technology Training Simulator (TTS) software localization with the remote site acceptance test (SAT) of the dual-language high-fidelity TTS for Volgafert LLC’s new urea melt and granulation plant, which supports training in English and Russian.

Stamicarbon clients ordering a TTS can request for their simulator to be translated into all languages based on Unicode characters, enabling even more flexible, effective and efficient operator training.

Stamicarbon and Sprana signed the technological cooperation agreement to co-develop Process Analytic Technology (PAT) solutions for Nitrogen Industry processes. Cooperation between the leading urea licensor from the Netherlands and the near-infrared (NIR) applied spectroscopy experts from Lithuania will bring Industry 4.0 innovations into the nitrogen fertilizer industry and, in particular, the urea process.
